Robert Harris, M.D. | Southeast Urogyn
Robert Harris, M.D.
Dr. Harris is the founding physician of Southeast Urogyn and has continued there since 1999. He is a board-certified urogynecologist, treating patients at Southeast Urogyn in Jackson, Mississippi. Dr. Harris provides a wide variety of urogynecological treatments, including incontinence therapies, vaginal relaxation services, minimally invasive outpatient hysterectomies, and procedures to address bladder control, bowel control, and vaginal support loss. Dr. Harris also has a special interest in menopause and surgical and non-surgical vaginal rejuvenation treatments. Dr. Harris earned his Bachelor of Science degree at Mississippi State University before completing his medical degree at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, followed by sub-specialty fellowship training in Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery at Duke University Medical Center. He is double Board Certified in Gynecology and Obstetrics, as well as Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Harris is a member of the American Urogynecologic Society, the International Continence Society, the Society of Gynecologic Surgeons, the International Urogynecologic Society, and many more. Dr. Harris combines impeccable training with years of experience to ensure that each patient receives treatment to specifically address concerns and help them return to their normal lifestyle, activities, and an overall improved quality of life. Steven Speights, MD. | Southeast Urogyn
Steven Speights, MD.
Dr. Speights is a board-certified urogynecologist who specializes in minimally invasive urogynecologic surgeries, including outpatient hysterectomy, outpatient sacrocolpopexy, and treatments for overactive bladder, incontinence, vaginal mesh, and vaginal support problems. He has a special interest in laparoscopic surgery and provides surgical and non-surgical vaginal rejuvenation treatments. After completing his bachelor’s degree at the University of Mississippi and earning his medical degree at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine, Dr. Speights served his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He went on to complete fellowships in Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery at the University of Mississippi Medical Center and the University of Michigan Health systems, followed by further advanced laparoscopic pelvic surgery training at the Atlanta Center for Laparoscopic Urogynecology. Dr. Speights is double board certified in Gynecology and Obstetrics, as well as Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a member of several medical societies and associations, including the Association for Gynecologic Laparoscopists, the American Urogynecologic Society, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and more. Dr. Speights is known for his gentle and compassionate care of women suffering from pelvic health concerns. He is committed to developing partnerships with his patients to work together toward improved health and wellbeing.

Lori Fulton, M.D. | Southeast Urogyn
Lori Fulton, M.D.
Dr. Fulton has dedicated her entire adult life to serving the healthcare needs of women in her community. After earning her Bachelor of Science Degree at Mississippi University for Women, she received her medical degree from the University of Mississippi Medical School. Dr. Fulton completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Tulane University at Charity Hospital in New Orleans. She then returned to her home in Jackson, Mississippi, to open a solo practice in Obstetrics and Gynecology, where she has provided contemporary women’s care for more than 30 years. A recipient of various community awards and commendations, Dr. Fulton has also held several academic appointments and hospital leadership positions. She is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a member many professional societies, including the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, and the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine. Dr. Fulton now serves as Director of Gynecologic Services at Southeast Urogyn, and as Medical Director for Ovation Wellness, where she is able concentrate her wealth of knowledge and experience to better serve the gynecologic needs of women in our state and region.

Jesse Hanks, P.A.
Jesse is a board-certified physician assistant specializing in urogynecology at Southeast Urogyn in Flowood, Miss. She provides individualized care for women with various gynecological and urologic disorders, including pelvic organ prolapse, incontinence, overactive bladder, interstitial cystitis, and other pelvic health issues. Jesse completed her bachelor’s degree at the University of Mississippi and earned a Master of Science in Medicine from Mississippi College. She is certified by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants. She is also a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Mississippi Academy of Physician Assistants, and the American Urogynecology Society. Jesse strives to restore confidence and enjoyment of life to women suffering from pelvic floor disorders. She looks forward to meeting new patients at Southeast Urogyn.

Ahmet Bedestani, M.D.
Dr. Bedestani earned his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Edison, New Jersey, in 2003. After completing his internship and residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, he furthered his training and expertise through a fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at the LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. Dr. Bedestani holds Diplomate status in the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, with a specialized board certification in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. His primary area of interest lies in utilizing robotic technology for advanced prolapse repair. With a multidisciplinary approach to female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery, Dr. Bedestani helps women in addressing issues such as pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain, revision of prior pelvic surgeries, as well as urinary and fecal incontinence. In his free time, Dr. Bedestani enjoys learning about complex tasks, exercising, and spending time with his wife and two daughters.

With a focus in rural healthcare, Lauren is passionate about ensuring every woman, regardless of geographical location, has access to the same level of quality care. Beyond her role as an advanced practice provider, Lauren is a teacher, educator, innovator, and researcher.

Valerie Hildebrand, N.P., B.C.
Valerie (Valley) is a nurse practitioner providing a variety of treatments and services to her patients, including pelvic floor physiotherapy, bladder instillation therapy, pessary fitting and management, annual well-woman exams, and menopause therapy. She has a special interest in menopause management and is trained everything from evaluation to offering multiple treatment options, including patches and gels, compounded creams, and troches. She is also trained and experienced with hormone pellet insertion. Valerie earned her nursing degree at the University of Mississippi and completed her Master of Science degree and nurse practitioner certification at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is a member of several professional organizations, including the International Society for the Study of Women's Sexual Health, the Mississippi Association of Nurse Practitioners, Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health, the International Society for the Study of Vulvovaginal Disease, American Urogynecologic Society, and International Urogynecologic Association. Valerie is a passionate women’s health provider, and her patients benefit from her training, experience, and genuine passion for improving their health and wellbeing.

Madina Dixon - C.F.N.P.
A passionate women’s health provider, Madina provides specialized focus on the treatment of symptoms associated with menopause, such as mood swings, hot flashes, insomnia, and memory loss. She works with patients to complete a comprehensive hormone evaluation and establish an individualized care plan and is trained and experienced with hormone pellet insertion. In 1998, Madina started her career as a registered nurse on a busy 31-bed Urology floor, where she gained extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of urinary incontinence, interstitial cystitis, and vaginal support problems. She earned her Associate of Science degree in Nursing at Hinds Community College in 1998, her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Alcorn State University (2009) and her Master of Science degree in Nursing from Alcorn State University (2014). She received her Registered Nurse First Assist Certification in 2012 after completing a course at North Caroline A&T University, followed by a Certification for Professional Achievement in Perioperative Nursing Practice that same year. This expertise has allowed her to extend her clinical expertise specific to surgical suturing. Madina has completed multiple postgraduate programs related to breast cancer surveillance, detection, and treatment. She assisted with the initiation and creation of the breast cancer license plate, established in Mississippi in 2002. Funds from this license plate have raised millions for breast cancer programs in Mississippi. She completed an intensive course in community cancer genetics and research training at the City of Hope Comprehensive Cancer Center in Duarte, CA, in 2017. Breast cancer screening and early detection are key components when treating women through the stages of menopause.

Brianna specializes in addressing sensitive women's health issues with care and empathy. Her primary focus lies in surgical interventions, affording her the opportunity to engage with patients throughout their pre-op, intra-op, and post-op stages. She finds fulfillment in creating a comfortable environment for patients and assisting them in feeling their best selves. Brianna's particular interests lie in pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence, where she witnesses firsthand the transformative impact of interventions on women's lives.
