About Autry

Mickie Autry provides specialized focus to the treatment of symptoms associated with menopause such as mood swings, hot flashes, insomnia, and memory loss. She works with Ovation Women's Wellness patients to complete a comprehensive hormone evaluation and establish an individualized care plan. For many women, the care plan will include bioidentical hormone replacement therapy for which Dr. Autry has completed intensive training. She also worked in Urology and Urogynecology for many years and has extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of urinary incontinence, interstitial cystitis, and vaginal support problems. With all of this knowledge and understanding of female pelvic dysfunction and midlife hormone and sexual issues, Mickie is perfectly suited to help the mature woman with the issues that will be affecting her most. Dr. Autry earned her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Jacksonville State University, her Masters of Science degree in nursing from the University of Alabama Huntsville, and her PhD from Walden University. Her research dissertation was entitled Pelvic muscle strengthening: Impact on sexual functioning in the menopausal woman.

Dr. Autry has completed multiple postgraduate preceptor programs in female sexual medicine, pelvic pain, and pelvic floor dysfunction. She is a national and local speaker for multiple pharmaceutical and medical companies, has participated in clinical studies, has served on the boards of nurse practitioner organizations, has served as a host on a local TV station for a segment on women's health, and has published articles in the Society of Urological Nurse Associate and North American Menopause Society journals.
